Linda’s Synopsis<\/h2>\n

Linda S. Cheek, MD is a retired family practice\/pain management physician. Trained in conventional medicine, she found quickly in her practice that it doesn\u2019t heal disease, so she studied multiple traditional (and futuristic) forms of healing medicine, from herbal to energetic and incorporated those into her practice.<\/p>\n

Linda was born in Northern Virginia, just outside Washington, DC, graduating from George C. Marshall High School. She got her Bachelors in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. She then became a secondary science teacher in her first life as she moved around the country and world as an Air Force wife. She also got a Masters in Guidance and Counseling at Phillips University.<\/p>\n

Many of her years as an Air Force wife were spent in San Antonio, Texas. Deciding there to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor, she got her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.<\/p>\n

Finally achieving her ambition to become a doctor, she did her residency in Family Practice at Roanoke Carilion Hospital. She moved to rural Southwest Virginia to serve the underserved, and set up practice in Pulaski County, at the edge of Appalachia.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Through the course of her practice, she led many patients to healing their chronic diseases, from fibromyalgia to heart disease and diabetes. She cured the cause of people\u2019s pain with prolotherapy. She cured addiction in those who were led to heal.<\/p>\n

But healing is not in the heart of the government establishment, and attacking easy targets for money is. So Linda became a target. Read below for the REST OF THE STORY\u2026<\/p>\n

Linda’s Values & Beliefs<\/h2>\n

Linda believes the Bible as truth. But she has also had ups and downs in her faith, which add to her story and most people can relate. She tries to live her faith, and trusts in the Lord to lead her in the direction she should go.

Western Medicine is only 150 years old, but we have become so entrenched in it because of the economic advantage it brings to our country. However, it does not lead to healing, but maintaining disease. Why should they develop a cure for a disease, when that would mean the end of what they are selling? Think about it. Linda’s Approach<\/h2>\n

Linda’s primary method to teach is through story telling.\u00a0 Her personal experiences including military wife, school teacher, physician, incarerated innocent, and alternative medicine provider gives her a wide range of possibilities to use to get her message across. \u00a0 Storytelling is powerful, and strikes home with everyone because they can relate.<\/p>\n

Linda also trusts that divine discernment will tell her the points she needs to make for the audience that she is presenting to. Every speech she has given has provided her with personal testimonies that her words stike home with the participants.<\/p>\n

Linda is a Hero<\/h2>\n

What is a hero?<\/p>\n

A hero is a person who does what is right, in spite of the consequences. Because of her alternative medical knowledge, Linda could validate a patient\u2019s complaint of pain. Thirty percent of Americans have some type of chronic pain, and it is important that primary care physicians be allowed to treat it. Even though Southwest Virginia was one of the first districts to start prosecuting doctors for treating pain, Linda not only treated her patients\u2019 pain, but healed it. Her patient base was primarily uninsured or government insured, two categories of what we now call the \u201cexpendable populations\u201d in the eyes of the government. So in 2006 she was attacked. And for 2 years, after combing through her records, all the government could charge her with was $65 overpayment due to nurse practitioner billing, and later added the teaching of lifestyle changes that saved the government hundreds of thousands of dollars, as \u201cunnecessary\u201d. This is something she hopes to change through education.<\/p>\n

Way Back to the Beginning<\/h2>\n

It was 4:30 in the afternoon. President Truman was walking down Pennsylvania Avenue in his inaugural parade. The television in the hospital maternity waiting room was broadcasting the event. A nurse approached a man engrossed in watching TV for the first time to announce the birth of his second daughter. He was more interested in the TV. The man was Linda’s father. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now although the accounting of her birth could give her an inferiority complex, from her mother\u2019s side of the story, she knew she was a gift. Her mother was a registered nurse. From working at St. Elizabeth\u2019s hospital in Washington DC in the 1930\u2019s, she had contracted tuberculosis while carrying Linda’s older sister. She was warned to not get pregnant again. However, her mother wanted another child. So she purposefully got pregnant and didn\u2019t let it be known to the doctor until it was too late to do anything. She risked her own life to bring Linda into the world. <\/span><\/p>\n

From that humble beginning, Linda was destined for a purpose.\u00a0 And with your help, it can be actualized.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Linda<\/span><\/span> has been called a modern day Harry Truman.\u00a0 After reading the book of his life, she sees why.\u00a0 Harry did what was right because it was the right thing to do. He did not use the presidency for personal gain.\u00a0 In fact, he lost money personally during his presidency.\u00a0 But he had principles.\u00a0 Principles that seem to be lost today. \u00a0 During the first attack on her by the gtovernment, Linda’s lawyer, without knowing her history, even called her “Harry”.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Growing Up Years<\/h2>\n

At the age of six Linda knew her career choice. She told\u00a0 her mother she wanted to be a nurse just like her. Her mother, advanced for her time, replied:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLinda, you\u2019re smart enough to be a doctor.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

And so that was Linda’s goal. Most of Linda’s independence and strengths were learned from her mother. <\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n

<\/span>Linda grew up on 18 acres of woods just inside what today is 495 in Fairfax County, Virginia. A tomboy, she spent her free time as a child climbing trees and building bridle paths through the woods for the horse she wanted but never got until she was an adult.\u00a0 She also learned many skills from her mother, from gardening, cooking and baking, to sewing and crafting.\u00a0 Her mother also taught her many home remedies for illnesses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First Experience as an Avocate for Change<\/h2>\n

Throughout her life Linda has been \u201ccursed\u201d to be about 5-10 years ahead of her time and can\u2019t understand why wrong isn\u2019t righted.\u00a0\u00a0 Here is an example.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

When she was a sophomore at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA, they lived with a dress code. No pants could be worn to class or outside the dorm. She failed to see the need for a dress code and she worked with a group of students to get it changed. They went before the Board of Regents to have the code changed. At the end of their presentation, one of the regents said, \u201cIf you don\u2019t like it here, why don\u2019t you leave.\u201d So she did. She transferred to the University of Texas at Austin. She never thought her efforts made a difference. <\/p>\n

However, in 2012, during a very difficult time, her sister just happened to send her a newspaper article written about Mary Washington College. Linda found out in the article that the fall semester following their complaint to the board, the dress code was abolished. It took her 40 years, but she found out that thinking outside the box does make a difference.<\/span><\/p>\n

First Career: Teacher<\/h2>\n

Her dream to become a doctor took a 20 year hiatus when she married a man she met at UT. He wanted to be a military pilot, so she gave up her career so he could follow his. She became a teacher, taught for 20 years, and enjoyed it. Her marriage was horrible, as he was a mentally abusing alcoholic. But the fruits of her marriage produced two wonderful sons. <\/span><\/p>\n

She finally started to feel a little burned out with the lack of student interest in learning, so she decided to follow her dream and become a physician. She entered medical school at the age of 39, which led to the end of her marriage. You could say she gave up her MD for an MRS, and then gave up her MRS for an MD. <\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Love of Horses\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Since childhood. Linda loved horses.\u00a0 Unable to have one as a child, she did achieve her dream as an adult. Her first horse, Honey, was a palomino quarterhorse. Her favorite breed was Arabian, but she ended up with Thoroughbreds, as she loved jumping and dressage. She competed in three-day eventing while living in Texas, and attempted to raise Thoroughbreds\u00a0 in Virginia, but the government ended that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Medical School is Disappointing<\/h2>\n

One of the problems she had throughout medical school was the close-mindedness and ignorance of the medical establishment. From previous knowledge, she knew there were natural treatments for common conditions. When taught about these conditions in medical school, the usual comment from the professors was: <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

“There is nothing that can be done about that.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Since she knew differently, she decided to study alternative medicine on her own as well as practice conventional. After two years of medical practice, she determined rather easily that conventional medicine doesn\u2019t fix anything. It just maintains the condition as it worsens more gradually until you die.<\/span><\/p>\n

That was not what she became a doctor to do.\u00a0 Linda was a healer.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Healing Practice\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Through her study of alternative medicine she learned that the body heals, just not with pills. She also learned that pain is real and needs to be treated. She became the only physician in Pulaski County, VA that was willing to stand up to the government and treat people\u2019s pain. She knew that we could get to the cause of the pain and heal it. She developed a program of healing which cured disease, and got disabled people back to work. The thanks she got for saving the government hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in health costs and putting people back to work was that in 2006 her office was raided. She was charged with Medicare\/Medicaid fraud. 2 years later, Feb 28, 2008, she pleaded guilty to one count Medicare\/Medicaid fraud. <\/span><\/p>\n

Illegal Search & Seizure<\/h2>\n

The warrant used to search her office in 2006 was Medicare\/Medicaid fraud.\u00a0 So then how do you explain that most of the records seized were not government insured? The government was on a fishing expedition, and the door opener into any doctor’s office is insurance fraud.\u00a0 After 2 years of combing the records, all they could come up with was 6 office visits charged by the nurse practitioners while Linda wasn’t in the office.\u00a0 This entire experience is fictionalized, but basically a real accounting, in Linda’s book Target: Pain Doc.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Misconduct is the MO of the DOJ<\/h2>\n

\u00a0The government had no plan to let Linda return to healing people. Attacking innocent doctors has become the modus operandi of the Department of Justice–for money, job security, and promotions. The rule of law is absent in our government, as exposed in Licensed to Lie<\/span> by Sidney Powell.<\/span><\/p>\n

But doctors continue to be naive and trusting, which makes them the perfect prey. They think that as long as they are following the rules of prescribing opioids, that they are safe. And that the doctors who have been attacked have done something illegal…until it happens to them.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Then the prosecutors use gross government misconduct of forced perjury and actual lawbreaking to indict and convict.<\/span><\/p>\n

This needs to be exposed to the citizens of America–to bring justice back. Because when they finish with the doctors, they will find another profession to attack–and it might be yours.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rest of the Story<\/h2>\n

Because\u00a0 the DEA had Linda targeted with a plan, they did not reinstate her DEA certificate as specified on their website. Linda had another licensed physician–Dr. Kathleen Schultz, DO–taking care of the patients requiring controlled substances.<\/p>\n

After 18 months of waiting, the DEA finally denied Linda’s certificate application.\u00a0In June, 2010 the DEA and US Attorney’s office investigators raided Linda’s office a second time on another fishing expedition.\u00a0 DEA agent Steven Tomaziefski, committed perjury to get Linda indicted.<\/p>\n

But through regular visits to her home by the DEA and representatives from the US Attorney’s office, Kathy was persuaded to commit perjury to save her own neck.<\/p>\n

Linda’s worthless attorney Rhonda Overstreet from Bedford, VA, appointed as a public defender, did nothing to defend her, and actually allowed the perjury to go uncontested, even though she had exculpatory evidence in her possession.<\/p>\n

Guilty Until Proven Innocent<\/h2>\n

Have you noticed that most doctors (98%, all of which are innocent) charged with criminal prescribing of controlled substances plead guilty?\u00a0 Why is that, when the government is using the Controlled Stubstance Act illegally aginst them? <\/span><\/p>\n

Basically, our government has stacked the deck against anyone charged with a crime. They confiscate all assets the doctor owns, so that they do not have any means of defense. Public defenders’ jobs are government designed to get the victim to plea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The other problem doctors face in court is the abject belief in the propaganda the government has created since 1999 for the express purpose of convicting innocent physicians–that opioids cause addiction.<\/span><\/p>\n

So in Feburary, 2013, Linda was convicted of a crime she did not commit–using the DEA license of another practitioner.<\/span><\/p>\n

26 Months of Incarceration<\/h2>\n

Linda then spent her next 2 years in 2 prisons. The first was Alderson Federal Prison Camp in West Virginia–the same camp Martha Stewart was assigned to.<\/p>\n

Alderson was the worst of all, and should be closed down. Inmates were abused by the staff, and only two rules are followed there. The first rule is “The staff is always right”.\u00a0 The second rule is “The inmate is always wrong.”<\/p>\n

To keep this history page as short as possible, we won’t go into detailss here, but I can guarantee it would be a learning experience to have Linda talk about her prison experiences.<\/p>\n

Because Linda was a thorn in the side of the law-breaking staff, she and her handicapped husband were set up by staff lies, and she was transferred to SFF Hazelton, in northern West Virginia. This, however, was a blessing.\u00a0 At SFF Hazelton, she was able to study the laws, learn the illegal action of the government, and form the basis for her work when she was released.<\/p>\n

Linda’s Passions<\/h2>\n

Even before she was ever attacked by our rogue government, Linda was involved in support of the loved ones of the incarcerated. \u00a0 Kairos, a Christian organization taking Christ into prisons, has an organization–Kairos Outside–in which Linda became a council member.\u00a0 Her main contribution in the early years was as a musician for the weekends.\u00a0 Then she became the communication coordinator with the chaplains at the Virginia state prisons to get the word to the inmates. And then finally, she was voted in as council chair in Dec, 2019.\u00a0 So Linda can also speak to churches and local organizations about Kairos and Kairos Outside.\u00a0 Her husband, Bill, also participated in Kairos Inside, until his vision became too bad to participate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Linda’s Heritage From Her Mother<\/h2>\n

Linda learned many things from her mother, including sewing and crochet.\u00a0 She made her first dress on a sewing machine at the age of 6. Although left-handed, she learned to crochet right-handed from her mom.<\/p>\n

While at Alderson Federal Prison Camp, she learned the patterns for the angels pictured here. And she learned about friendship bracelets. So she brought these crafts out and now use them to remember the innocent incarcerated and the family and friends supporting them.<\/p>\n

Dr. Cheek\u2019s Journey to the Light<\/h1>\r\nBeing a second career physician starting medical school at the age of 37, Dr. Cheek already had some knowledge of natural healing. Having a mother who was a nurse, well versed in home remedies, she had experience in healing. When the professors at UTHSCSA would make comments like: \u201cThere is nothing to treat that\u201d when Dr. Cheek knew otherwise, she knew from the start that medical school education does not have all the answers.\r\n\r\nWhile learning acupuncture, Dr. Cheek was introduced to auricular therapy, a fascinating energy medicine. That led her to cleansing and other forms of energy medicine like homeopathy. The Hippocratic Oath states that the physician\u2019s first job is to relieve suffering and \u201cFirst do no harm\u201d. Since most allopathic medicine does harm by stopping the healing process, Dr. Cheek\u2019s purpose in her practice was to teach her patients how to heal disease through cleansing and the Seven Steps to Healing.\r\n\r\nIn order to teach her patients how to heal from disease and combat the general misconceptions of conventional medicine, she developed group counseling sessions that were required of all of her pain management patients. She was completely open with the government about what she was doing. The results she was getting with healing was unbelievable. But the government isn\u2019t interested in helping people heal. They want to help people die before they start drawing social security. Therefore, Dr. Cheek became a target. Informing the government of her success only made her a target.\r\n\r\nOn February 26, 2006 her office was raided for the first time under the guise of Medicare\/Medicaid fraud. She had done nothing fraudulent, had completely cooperated with sessions with Medicaid, explaining everything she was doing, and was never told to stop or change her procedures. For two years her lawyer went round and round with a room full of agents. He said to her, \u201cI don\u2019t know what you did, but I\u2019ve never been in a room with that many government agents before.\u201d He could do nothing to get the charges dropped. \u201cThey\u2019ll go after $10.00 because they have the money [and the power] behind them.\u201d Because her nurse practitioners had charged some visits to her Medicare number instead of theirs when she was out of town at a seminar, it seemed that going to trial was a lost cause. Even though their understanding was that as long as the nurse practitioner was continuing the doctor\u2019s treatment plan with the doctor\u2019s patient, the doctor\u2019s number should be used, that didn\u2019t matter.\r\n\r\nA plea agreement was agreed upon, based on 6 patient visits charged to Dr. Cheek\u2019s number instead of Dennis and MaryEllen Cotellese. That made the \u201ccrime\u201d cost the government a maximum of $66, since the difference in payment between the doctor\u2019s number and the nurse practitioner\u2019s was $11 per incident. That plea agreement was signed on December 7, 2007. The hearing before the judge was scheduled for February 28, 2008. The evening before, Dr. Cheek was called in to her lawyer\u2019s office. The government had added the alternative medicine evaluations on pain patients as part of the fraud charges. That completely changed the picture. But since the plea agreement had already been signed, it was impossible to change. She was forced to accept charges that weren\u2019t true. Supposedly the US Attorney at the time, John Brownlee, was trying to be appointed to a judge position. Having spent 2 years with multiple agents and only showing a cause for $66 overbilling didn\u2019t set well with him. So he rewrote the plea agreement. With supposedly only 6 month probation as the probable sentence versus 20 years in prison and the cost of going to trial was estimated at $1.5 million, Dr. Cheek still agreed to the plea agreement.\r\n\r\nAnother thing she was surprised about was all the lies the US Attorney put in the argument before the judge. She was told that the judge knew that the government argument would be full of lies, not to worry. But when it came time to be before the judge, the Assistant US Attorney, Pat Hogeboom, (now deceased at age 68 from brain cancer\/?karma?) spewed forth all those lies which the defense could not retaliate against. The judge accepted them as fact. Dr. Cheek could say nothing in her defense, or the judge would not accept the plea agreement and she would have to go to trial. So she had to sit there and agree to the charges. That was one of the hardest things she has ever had to do in her life\u2014say she had done something intentional when it was not the case, and what they were saying she did hadn\u2019t even been done.\r\n\r\nDr. Cheek\u2019s patients were refused at all the other area doctors\u2019 offices. But God was at work. Dr. Cheek lifted up the problem to God at an Emmaus Walk. She was immediately introduced to another worker, Dr. Kathleen Schultz, a retired FP\/anesthetist who was willing to come to see the patients, and renew their meds. She began locum tenens work in September, 2008. Finally, on February 19, 2009, Dr. Cheek\u2019s license was reinstated and she reopened her practice on February 23, 2009. But because she still didn\u2019t have a DEA certificate to write prescriptions for controlled drugs, Dr. Schultz stayed to provide for those patients on pain medicine.\r\n\r\nThat first day back at work was very stressful for Dr. Cheek. The biggest thing on her mind was \u201cCan I remember how to do a History and Physical?\u201d and \u201cWill I do everything I need to do?\u201d Because she had been able to write controlled substances since day one as a medical student, she completely forgot about the fact that she couldn\u2019t write them anymore. So the first three patients she saw were given scripts for their standard medications which included pain medicine. Two hours later it dawned on her that those scripts were not legal. (Now being not legal is different from being criminal, as will be explained later.) She called the patients, told them the scripts were not legal and not to fill them. One had already been filled. One was at a pharmacy, but Dr. Schultz called the pharmacy and had that script rewritten in her name. And one brought the script back to the office and got a replacement from Dr. Schultz. Dr. Cheek was open about her mistake\u2014did not try to cover it up, and in fact, wrote the DEA agent informing him of the mistake.\r\n\r\nFor the explanation of the difference between illegal and criminal, here is the law from the Controlled Substance Act:\r\n
